3D Scenes

Scene Name

In this window you can find the name of the scene that can be edited. It should be noted that editing the name will by default change the URL of the scene presentation page but will not affect the embed link. It is recommended that the name remain plain text without special characters.

Scene Preview Image

Interaction with 3D objects

Field of View

The camera can be positioned on the 3 XYZ axes with values ​​expressed in cm. Initially the camera is positioned at 80 cm from the origin on the Z axis. The camera position must be set according to the filed of view, the size of the 3d objects and also the aspect ratio of the screen

Camera rotation

Shadow Position

Shadow Size

This value is a characteristic of the shadow map technique and represents the area for which the shadow is calculated. This value is represented in cm and must be as close as possible to the total size of the objects in the scene

This value represents the offset of the shadow position along the Z-axis. This offset prevents self-shadow artifacts. An offset of 0.005 is the default value.

Shadow intensity

The intensity of the shadow represents how much geometries are darkened by casting shadows. This value can also be set for each geometry in the geometry properties panel

Shadow blur

This value softens the shadows edges and make it look more natural and also hide the shadow artefacts (edge texels). Shadow blur can also be set for each geometry in the geometry properties panel.

Export 3D content as GLTF File

The scene's content can be exported from the top edit menu as a GLTF file. The scene is exported according to GLTF specifications and use extra properties for settings which are used only by the AIQ3D application. All the scene data is exported in one single embedded GLTF file.

Saving the scene

Scene's 3d content changes can be saved from the top edit menu, using the Save Scene button. All the scene's 3D content and settings will be saved on the server, in the available space, allocated to the user's account. When saving the scene, pay attention that the 3D content not to be too large. Smaller and fewer textures and optimized geometries are better in using less server space and also in making the scene to load faster.
