Import OBJ files
Latest Update: 2022-07-15
The import is done from the menu from or by drag and drop in the browser in the editing player. Several similar geometries may be imported. If the obj files are validated, the imported geometries will be rendered instantly without having an associated material.

Import GLTF files
Latest Update: 2022-07-15
This is a more complex format than obj and allows data storage for the entire 3D scene (geometries, materials, animations, ensembles, camera and any scene setting). Currently the Aiq3D application allows the import of GLTF embed files that do not have external links to other files.

Add geometry to the tree list
Latest Update: 2022-08-12
You can add new geometries to the hierarchically geometry list, accessing the button from the top of the list. A new geometry is added with default settings, without 3d data file and without material attached. The new geometry is added on the top of the list on the main level

Drag and drop between the geometries in the hierarchical list
Latest Update: 2022-07-18
By drag and drop on the elements in the list you can change the order or hierarchical structure of the geometries. The hierarchical structure of the geometries allows the subordinate geometries to take over the transformations of the parent geometries.

Geometries visibility from the hierarchical list
Latest Update: 2022-08-06
Geometries can be visible or not by accessing the checkbox next to each geometry in the hierarchical list. The visibility of the geometry will also be inherited by the subordinate geometries, thus being rendered or not an entire structure.

Cloning a structure of geometries from the hierarchical list
Latest Update: 2022-07-18
Each geometry in the list can be cloned together with its subordinate geometries. Cloned geometries retain the same properties and materials as the initial gems. The coordinates of the 3D geometry in obj format will not be duplicated

Deleting geometries
Latest Update: 2022-07-18
Delete button is available depending on the properties of each object. Objects that serve as a reference for other cloned objects cannot be deleted. Also, objects that have subordinate objects cannot be deleted.

Geometry Name
Latest Update: 2022-07-18
The name must be plain text without special characters. It can be modified and will not affect the way the elements in the scene relate to this geometry. It is recommended that the name of the geometry not be too long to be easily spotted in the list of geometries.

Geometry Transformations
Latest Update: 2022-08-11
Geometry transformations are represented by three vectors in XYZ coordinate system, corresponding to position, rotation, and scale. Transformations can be set for the selected geometry or inherited from the parent geometry

Geometry Animation
Latest Update: 2022-08-11
You can set keyframes for position, rotation, scale and visibility of each geometry. A keyframe does record all transformation values at once. Geometry keyframes can be added, edited or deleted. These keyframes appear in the player's timeline.

Edit Geometry 3D Data
Latest Update: 2022-08-12
Geometry 3D datas are represented in obj file format and can be edited from the geometry properties window. Here you can upload new obj file, update, download, or delete the file. This field does not accept multiple files, so each geometry accepts only one obj file.

Clone obj file data.
Latest Update: 2022-08-12
Geometries can import 3D data from other geometry. More geometries can use the same obj file. This is good for optimizing the 3D model and also make assemblies with diferent materials for the same geometry.

Geometry Shadow Setings
Latest Update: 2022-08-12
Shadows can be configured for each geometry separately. The geometry may or may not emit the shadow and may or may not receive the shadow. You can setup how spread the shadow is on a selected geometry and the shadow position offset for the selected geometry

Capture Screen Space Reflections
Latest Update: 2022-08-12
Each geometry may or may not capture Screen Space Reflections. This option only takes effect if the scene is set to produce Screen space reflections from the Post Processing section. Accessing this option may impact performance, as geometries that do not capture SSR are not processed for this effect.

Materials List
Latest Update: 2022-08-12
In the geometry properties window there is a list with all materials from the current scene. Here you can add new materials (with default properties), filter in the existing materials, apply a material to selected geometry or delete materials. Each material in the list have a preview, a name, and options.

Environment maps
Latest Update: 2022-08-12
The scene lighting is image based, this means that material specularity and reflections and are cast from a spherical environment map. Environment maps are black and white images to better suit various situations and to not affect the material's specularity color.

Normal/Bump maps
Latest Update: 2022-08-16
Normal maps affects the direction of light bouncing off a surface considering the vertex normal coordinates stored in the this texture. The RGB pixels data represent the XYZ coordinates of the vector normals. Bump maps are aproximating the normal vectors of the geometry, based on a height map.

Engraving material
Latest Update: 2022-08-12
Engraving 3D objects is an option available for Premium and Business accounts. A material can be set as an engraving material, which means that a text or a logo can be applied to the geometry on which it is applied For an engraving material, the textures are taken from the engraving module See more details in the Engraving section

Metalness
Latest Update: 2022-08-16
Materials metalness is a characteristic of PBR workflow, which means that there is the option of selecting how metallic a surface is. Metallic materials have a different reflective property then non-metallic ones, they look more reflective with no diffuse property.

Ambient Back Light
Latest Update: 2022-08-30
This value is added as the back light for each material. This helps the geometry to fit into the surrounding environment. The value can be set between 0 and 1, 0 meaning there is no back light and 1 the back light is the same as the front light.
